I am lucky to have been given the opportunity to teach clay classes to children at both the Chesapeake Arts Center and the Chesapeake Academy in the Annapolis, Maryland area.  I am continually impressed and delighted with how fearless the children are at pushing the edges of the creative envelope.  The medium of clay is, of course,  forgiving so no worries about patching up holes, but more importantly, clay is squishy fun!!  When you're having a good time, it's easy to tap into creativity.  I think I get as much enjoyment as they do in class from just watching and guiding them!
